Distribution and Wholesale Acquisitions

Buy a Distribution Business

Tell us what you want to acquire, where you want to operate and how you plan to fund the purchase. We review buyer criteria for potential fit with seller engagements.

We represent sellers. Registration does not guarantee an opportunity or create buyer representation.

    Qualification and Confidentiality

    How Buyer Access Works

A registration starts the review. Access to a specific business depends on fit, readiness and the seller’s instructions.

    1. Review Your Criteria

We consider your target categories, geography, company size, capital source and acquisition experience. Explain any firm exclusions and who will make the investment decision.

    2. Confirm Fit and Readiness

If a seller engagement may fit, the team may contact you to clarify your plans, financing and operating role. Financial evidence may be required before access progresses.

    3. Release Information in Stages

Company identity and sensitive records are shared only through the transaction’s agreed process. A non-disclosure agreement does not by itself guarantee access; seller approval and qualification still apply.

    Distribution Acquisition Diligence

    What to Evaluate Before Buying

Reported earnings are one part of an acquisition. Review what must keep working after ownership changes.

    Inventory and Working Capital

Review stock aging, obsolete and consigned goods, receivables, payables and seasonal cash needs. Agree how inventory and normal working capital are treated in the transaction; do not assume inventory is simply added to the price.

    Customer and Supplier Continuity

Understand concentration, repeat orders, supplier agreements, rebates and territory rights. Identify required consents and whether important relationships depend on the current owner.

    Warehouse Systems and Reporting

Test inventory accuracy, purchasing controls, gross-margin reporting, enterprise software and fulfillment processes. Assess the costs and disruption of any planned systems integration.

    Management and Owner Transition

Clarify who runs purchasing, sales, pricing and key accounts. Identify the management and working capital your operating plan will require, along with the seller’s proposed transition role.

    Distribution Buyer FAQs

What registration means, who can register and what happens next.

Who can register as a buyer?

Operating companies, private equity groups, family offices, search funds, individual operators and other acquisition groups can submit criteria. The review considers the specific target, capital source, decision process and ability to operate or support the business. A buyer label alone does not establish fit.

Do I need financing before I register?

You can register while arranging financing. Describe your current position accurately and distinguish committed capital from funding still being pursued. Proof of funds, lender support or other financial evidence may be required before sensitive information is released.

Will I receive opportunities after registering?

There is no guaranteed opportunity, introduction or notification schedule. Contact depends on seller engagements, your criteria, buyer qualification and process stage. The form lets you state your preference for relevant updates, direct-fit contact or no updates unless requested.

Does registration make you my buyer representative?

No. Distribution Business Broker represents sellers. Registration provides acquisition criteria for potential seller-side matching; it does not create a buy-side search mandate or advisory relationship.

Should I upload financial evidence with my criteria?

No uploads are requested here. Start with a description of your funding and acquisition plans. Bank statements, identity documents and other sensitive evidence should be shared only through an agreed process if requested for a specific opportunity.
